Welcome to part two in my new series – Local Creatives. I hope you enjoyed the first in the series. This series is all about supporting local creatives from the South West of Britain. I am lucky enough to live in a fantastic area, full of hidden or up and coming talented folk. From independent Chai suppliers to local artists, it really is a wonderful place to discover and meet some fantastic people and companies. This weeks post is Local Creatives – JAF Studio.
Josie Falconer is the person behind JAF Studio. A Bath born designer and print maker who now works independently from her studio in Bristol; Josie creates a variety of limited edition print works and bespoke designs. She offers a range of products from commissions, brand identity, book design to beautiful stationary and gift cards.
Celebrating the every day, with a keen eye for detail Josie is heavily influenced by the incredible landscapes and diversity across the world. Having travelled over many continents, including South and Central America, Josie finds inspiration in the natural world and landscapes around her.
Josie will be displaying some of her fantastic work at her up and coming exhibition – Horizon. Horizon will showcase her prints, alongside stunning handmade jewellery from Bath born Emma Aitchison, and beautiful ceramics from Phoebe Smith. The exhibition will be in Bristol’s Christmas Steps Gallery, running from 25th – 31st July 2017. If you are in the area, be sure to pop in and say hello.
Josie has kindly offered a limited edition ‘Gem’ print to one lucky reader. The print is one of a run of 12, printed on local 100% cotton Somerset paper. Just follow the instructions via the Rafflecopter and enter to be in with a chance of winning. Be sure to leave a comment on this post!
