As this blog grows and evolves I want to take some time to create a series of posts dedicated to some talented, local companies. Let’s call it Local Creatives shall we? Focussing on creative and skilled people from the South West and surrounding areas. Supporting local businesses is so important to me, and I am lucky to live in an area full to the brim with some fantastic business owners and products. First up in my Local Creative series is Ladytree Designs.
Ladytree Designs is a Bristol based brand set up by Ela and Hannah Good in 2016. Their handcrafted jewellery is made from Sterling Silver, and the pieces are created in their home studios using traditional and modern techniques.
Their ethos focuses on creating thoughtfully designed and lovingly handmade pieces inspired by the natural world. Each design is crafted with comfort and durability in mind so you can cherish your jewellery for years to come. With an environmental focus, the majority of the silver they use is 100% recycled and traceable, and all of their pretty packaging is made from recycled and/or sustainable materials.
I chose the Alchemy Necklace, part of the ‘Earth, Air, Fire, Water’ collection. I am drawn to anything that is focussed around the elements. The necklace arrived beautifully packaged, and I was not disappointed when I opened the box. The pendant sits on a medium length chain, which is perfect for me as I don’t like jewellery too close around my neck.
I have had so many positive comments about the necklace, as it is quite unique in it’s style. I’ve got my eye on most of their stock at the moment. There is no such thing as too much jewellery, right?!
Disclaimer – I was sent this necklace to feature on Rough Measures. Thank you for continuing to support those that support this space. Shop local.
